Bobcats Baseline breaks down Charlotte Bobcats media day photos

Posted by on Sep 29, 2010 in Uncategorized | 3 comments

Our friends over at Bobcats Baseline have a nice breakdown of the photos from Charlotte Bobcats media day.

Dr. E’s comments on Javaris Crittendon

Javaris Crittendon:  If I was Jeff Siner, I would have printed out a couple of different pictures for Javaris, then placed them on a chair by his locker with a note that said “Pick One.”  I’m sure he’d think it was funny.

Being the somewhat disturbed group of fans that we are over here at BCP, we have 2 more pictures for them to breakdown.

First, I would like a thorough analysis of Darius Miles’ armpits

Rumors: Boris Diaw out – Devin Harris in

Posted by on Sep 24, 2010 in Boris Diaw, DJ Augustin, Trades, Uncategorized | 8 comments

Look at all of these rumors surrounding me every day… But it’s not everyday that you hear one that is as juicy ( and ridiculously lopsided in favor of the Bobcats ) as this one.

ESPN

The Denver Nuggets are having serious discussions about a four-way trade that would land Carmelo Anthony with the New Jersey Nets, according to sources with knowledge of the negotiations.

The proposed deal, sources said, also would involve the Utah Jazz and the Charlotte Bobcats. It would deliver Nets rookie forward Derrick Favors, Jazz veteran Andrei Kirilenko and multiple first-round picks to Denver in exchange for their franchise player, potentially bringing a resolution to Anthony’s uncertain future before the Nuggets hold their first practice of the new season.

Sources told ESPN.com that the deal, which has yet to be finalized, also would send former All-Star point guard Devin Harris to Charlotte, with Bobcats forward Boris Diaw moving to Utah.

The four teams, said one source close to the talks, are “seriously engaged” after extensive talks Thursday.

We are keeping our ears open for anything else that we hear on this potential deal and we promise that we will provide updates as soon as we hear anything.

The members of our forum are salivating at the possibility of this deal happening.

How do you feel about it?

Will the Bobcats steal away some of the Carolina Panthers Fans?

Posted by on Sep 20, 2010 in Uncategorized | 2 comments

I’ll start this out by saying that in addition to being a huge Charlotte Bobcats fan ( as if there were any doubt about that ) I am also a big Carolina Panthers fan. Every Panthers game that I watch, I’m pulling for them just as hard as every other fan out there. BUT I have to wonder are the Carolina Panthers’ struggles a potential gain for the Charlotte Bobcats? How much more of this really, REALLY sorry football will the fans be able to take before they jump ship and switch their primary focus to the other team in town?

Taking a look at some of the Carolina Panthers blogs out there, you can see that this is not a fan base full of optimism. Here is what they were saying following yesterday’s uninspiring loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

Sunday Morning Link Dump

Posted by on Sep 19, 2010 in Boris Diaw, DJ Augustin, Washington Wizards | 0 comments

Hi everyone, As you can see we’ve spruced the place up a little with a fresh coat of paint. Take a look around our blog and also our forums to check out the new layout. we hope you like it. Now on to the linkage.

Charlotte Observer – Rick Bonnell questions where all of the Charlotte Bobcats fan negativity is coming from

Hoopsnotes.com – I desperately need a french speaking person to take a look at the video at this link and explain to me why Boris Diaw is parading around France in a costume that looks like some kind of Drunken Toucan

BCP Forums – Discussing DJ Augustin as Charlotte’s starting Point guard this season

TruthAboutIt.net – has an excellent blog on how a large chunk of the Bobcats roster is made up of former Washington Wizards

There are players Wizards fans used to root for, one player they flat-out hate, and a former player/president turned owner who sparks feelings of ambivalence.  No matter what the emotion, the Bobcats are definitely must-see-TV for Wizards fans. But there is one team in the Southeast Division, that arguably has the distinction of having the most interesting collection of ex-Wizards:  The Charlotte Bobcats.

That’s all for now, hope that your Sunday Morning dump was good for you.

DUST to Dust… Erick Dampier waived by the Charlotte Bobcats

Cap Relief 1 – Dreams of spinning DUST into a contributing member of next season’s roster 0.

Erick Dampier’s 60 day stay with the Charlotte Bobcats has come to an end. There were ton’s of hopes and dreams of turning the legendary DUST chip into something big *cough* Melo *cough* but in the end there were no deals that could be worked out. I have trust in the front office that they are doing what is best for the team’s long term interests, but just looking at this as a fan, we have some large holes at the point guard and center spots that are going to need to be addressed prior to this season to make the fanbase feel warm and cozy.We hoped that the DUST would address at least 1 of those 2 positions, but No Dice.
