Lockout Linkage: Applauding the Motivated

This NBA Lockout has sapped the will to write completely out of me. When I think about the very real possibility that I may not being able see my beloved NBA until possibly November of 2012 it’s enough to  make me physically ill.

With that being said, I would like to recognize those that are able to stay motivated and pump out quality Bobcats content during this very jacked up lockout.

Here are a few very good recent articles from those that have not succumbed to this David Stern inspired malaise.

You are cordially invited to the 2011 BCP Draft Chat

Posted by on Jun 19, 2011 in Alexis Ajinca, NBA Draft | 0 comments

You Are Invited!

Hi everyone! Consider yourself cordially invited to the 2011 BCP draft chat. If you are unfamiliar with the history of our annual draft chat, let me just say that it is 50% mayhem, 50% hilarity and 50% excitement ( hey, we never claimed to be math majors around here ).

In past draft chats there has been failed suicide pacts over the Bobcats missing out on Terrence Wiliams, There was draft commentary by a Japanese hooker and who can forget our attempts to draft a formal declaration of war after those French bastards suckered us into thinking Alexis Ajimca could actually play basketball.

With 2 first round picks along with the recent hire of GM Rich Cho, draft night 2011 promises to be one for the ages.

The Chat room is available to registered members only, so REGISTER today and be there for the madness on Thursday night.

It’s official. The Charlotte Bobcats have the 9th pick.

The Angel of Stern has determined that the Cleveland Cavaliers are the winners of the #1 overall draft pick this season. Kyrie Irving who was on hand during the lottery proceedings looked like he was on the verge of a severe crying  jag as a result of the outcome. I would suggest that those closest to him to hide all sharp kitchen utensils and to lock up any medications stronger than baby aspirin. Of course if by some strange reason the Cavs pass on Kyrie then he will be sitting right there available for the T-Wolves at #2… Lord knows they have no reservations against drafting yet another point guard.

The Bobcats did not receive Stern’s blessing, so they will be sitting at #9 in this year’s draft. The Cats will likely be looking at a pool of players like Bismack Biyombo, Alec Burks, the Morris twins among others.

We are going to discuss potential draft picks until we are blue in the face right here. But what are your initial thoughts on who the Bobcats should take with the 9th pick?

Examining Andrew Bynum’s Goon History

Posted by on May 9, 2011 in Los Angeles Lakers | 8 comments

Last night Andrew Bynum punched another ticket on his goon card with this absurdly cheap shot on the 5’2″  118 pound J.J. Barea. I have no problem with hard fouls, but if you are going to dish one out, then man up and do it in game one of the series to give the Mavs a chance to retaliate. Don’t do it when you are down by 30 in game 4 on your way to getting swept.

Lets take a closer look at Andrew Bynum’s goon history.
