Jackson welcomes himself back to Golden State, Bobcats roll 121-110

The last time a star Warrior was traded to Charlotte for almost nothing and returned to Oracle Arena in Oakland, he was given a hero’s welcome. This time, the Warrior fans had little love for their former swingman. But in the end, it didn’t matter. Captain Jack came to play, as did his First Mate and the rest of his Crew.

Bobcats find the road is a very dangerous place. Lose to Hawks 103-89.

Well, it had to happen sometime. I suppose it was slightly unrealistic for us Bobcats fans to assume that the ‘Cats were going to breeze through the remaining 42 games of the schedule beating each and every one of their opponents by 40+ points all while setting a dozen or so team records each and every game. Confusion Pervades

Defense, Speed and Finishing

My Hero Black Tie Gala

Fancy pants…look out BigCat is invited to a Black Tie and Tennis shoes Gala!  I think this is my first “Gala.”  I really don’t know what Gala means but I’ll tell you what my experience was like. This is the 3rd Annual My Hero Black Tie/Tennis Shoes Gala, held at the Arena, Presented by Deloitte and about 30 other sponsors.  The event is to raise money for the Bobcats Youth Foundation and Presbyterian Hospital/Bobcats Community Care Cruiser.  I was there as a casual observer, don’t really have the clout or …

Expectations and Frustrations

I’m thinking of my Mom yelling from the other side of the kitchen:

Future Bobcat? Terrence Williams.

At first glance Terrence Williams seems like he would be a perfect pick at #12 for the Bobcats in the upcoming draft. The  Bobcats are looking at SG depth to backup or challenge Raja Bell, Williams has legit SG size at 6′6″ & 1/4 in shoes, he plays excellent defense, he fills out the stat sheet and as you can see from the video below, he is an elite athlete.

The big negative that jumps out at me with T-Will is his shooting. He shot 43.1% from the field last season …

Is DJ Augustin really the future?

After watching this season, and listening to some very rare compliments from the veteran coach who is generally ruthless with his point guards, it is hard to think that Ray isn’t this team’s Point man for the forseeable future. This is not only based on his play, but the way Augustin was used as well.

Bobcats lose to Thunder: We are mathematically eliminated

It’s official, We are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Group Hug anyone??? Ewwww… Maybe not.
The problems that we had against the Thunder tonight were really a microcosm of the ones that have popped up this season.
Problem #1 - Raymond Felton’s shooting. He was 4-16 from the floor tonight and 40.4% from the field and 28.6% from three point range so far this season. This is even more troubling because Ray leads the team in attempts per game and normally takes the shot when the game is on the line. …
