Toocool here, with a blog finally. Since it’s now the off-season, I decided to look at our line-up, and analyse how well they did in the normal season, and what they can improve on. I am taking into account that ALL players are resigned/stay on for the next season. Stephen Jackson, Theo and TT’s stats are Charlotte season averages, not the entire season.
The starting 5:
Raymond Felton aka Tonberry:
Stats: 12.1 PPG, 5.6 APG, 3.6 RPG, 1.5 SPG, 0.3 BPG, 2.1 TPG, 33 MPG, 0.459 FG%, 0.385 3FG%
Season: Raymond Felton started …

Ball Don’t Lie - Michael Pietrus should have asked himself “Where is Wallace”?

Howard The Dunk - Magic-Bobcats All about defense
Charlotte came in with a reputation as a defensive team who sometimes struggles on the offensive end. The Magic, on the other hand, are known for their inside game with Center Dwight Howard and their 3-point shooters (the Magic set an NBA record for most 3-pointers made in a season this year). Scoring inside and shooting the 3-pointer are things …

The Bobcats vs. the Magic 4/22/10
I appreciate Ziggy getting a game summary posted for the second game since it was my assignment and I apologize to all for being late posting. I really wanted to digest what I saw and it “taste” more bitter today than last night. The Bobcats proved they could play wretched basketball in the very first game of the season against the Boston Celtics. Teams have “misfires” during the season but come play-off time you expect every team to put their collect “best foot forward”. I …

In the spirit of our Make Love to Pressure T-Shirts we have come up with another design that we think you are going to really like.
Are you feeling it?
Earlier we were speaking of the Make Love to Pressure Shirts. Below is Captain Jack’s reaction to the design:
BCP member Weezy21
i got him to sign my shirt before the pistons game…he started laughing when i showed him an i was like “you like that?”…an he was like “yo this is dope”…man u talk about a HUGE smile, he was grinning …

The Bench, THE BENCH, scored 50 something last night and Gerald Henderson (remember him? the rookie from Duke?) had some NASTY to the third power dunks. I commented on twitter (can we not call it a “tweet”) that there has never been a line up that wanted to dunk more than Hendo, Ty Thomas and Ty Chandler on the floor. If you put Gerald Wallace and Ryan Hollins out there you’d have nothing but dunks. (I kinda miss Mr. Hollins. Athlete, dunk, block, foul machine) But who would pass them …

It wasn’t nearly that close. Boris Diaw nearly had a triple-double, Gerald Wallace looked like the All-Star he is, and Tyson Chandler was an intimidating prescence against the Joe Johnson and Mike Bibby-less Hawks, who still seek their first 50-win season since 1998. But it was still a historic night, as the Bobcats have now clinched their first non-losing season in franchise history.

In all honesty, it’s surprising that the game was this close.
The Bobcats were on the road in the 2nd game of a back to back after having to scratch and claw in last night’s brutal overtime matchup against the Bucks.
The Bulls out-rebounded the Bobcats 56-34.
Stephen Jackson was held to only 8 points, and sat out the entire 4th quarter with a painful hamstring.
So how did the Bobcats manage to even be in the game? They managed to make this game interesting by having an absolutely ridiculous 8 minute stretch of …

Just a few days ago, we saw the Charlotte Bobcats play horrible basketball in Washington, D.C. but somehow come out with an overtime win over the Wizards, 95-86. There would be no overtime tonight, as the ‘Cats survived multiple attempts at a comeback by the Washington Wizards to win 107-96. The Bobcats earned their franchise-record 38th win, and are for the first time ever four games over .500%. The Wizards, however, set their own franchise record with their 14th consecutive loss. While it wasn’t pretty, it’s a win, and that means the magic number to make the playoffs is down to 7.

The Bobcats vs. the Timberwolves 3/24/10
The best way to begin a home-stand is with a solid win and that is exactly what the Bobcats accomplished against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Bobcats finally scored over one hundred points in a game after three games that saw them struggle to put the ball in the basket. Stephen Jackson recovered from his shooting struggles to score 37 points and the team shot a very respectable 53.6% from the field. Raymond Felton had a steady game with 16 points, 8 assists, and 0 turn-overs …

Don’t worry guys, the chest pains have subsided. After watching the Bobcats give up a 10 point 4th quarter lead, watching Captain Jack at the line in the closing moments of regulation go 0-2 with an opportunity to put the game out of reach for the Hawks, watching the Cats scrap their way back from a 3 point overtime deficit to gain a one point lead ONLY to lose to a dagger 3 pointer by Joe Johnson at the buzzer… Well, lets just say that it was touch and …

The Thunder vs. the Bobcats 3/17/10
There are times when you have to step-up and say “this is my place” and then prove it. The ‘Cats did just that with a hard-fought victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Bobcats, without All-Star Gerald Wallace, overcame a miserable first quarter to beat the Thunder. They still shot a lousy 65.6% from the free throw line, but had energy and defense that was lacking the previous night against the Pacers. Stephen Graham had another stellar night, scoring 19 points …
