Today Gerald Wallace along with Tyreke Evans, Javale McGee and OJ Mayo were cut from Team USA. It would have been nice to see him make the team and wear the U.S.A. colors proudly, BUT as a Bobcats fan I’m not too sad about it. Because of his playing style he would have been the player most likely to ricochet off the elbow of some 320 pound Ukranian center. He also would have had the highest probability of landing headfirst while being undercut by an over-matched Kazakistanian small forward. I’m not complaining, but that’s just the way it is. All in all, I’m happy to know that he’ll be showing up to training camp healthy and in one piece.

His getting cut from does give me an excuse to play a clip from the greatest show in television history. There will come a time during Team USA’s run where the team will need some energy, where they will need some defense and with Gerald no longer being on the team Coach K will have to ask himself  “Where is Wallace”?
