The Heat vs. the Bobcats 3/9/10
The Bobcats had a lead (6-4) with a little over ten minutes in the first quarter. They did not have another lead until until only a little over three minutes (3:33) was left in the game. It took a team effort on defense to pull them back into a game they easily could have lost to Miami. The Heat shot a better field goal percentage, a better free-throw percentage, and had fewer turn-overs but could not stop the Bobcats when they had …

Are you ready for some……BASKETBALL!
Charlotte, tonight, is the host of Monday Night Football. Big game with the Panthers and Buccaneers battling for supremacy in the NFC South, first round bye and possibly, if the Panthers were to win the next few games, home field advantage. Rather than Berman, Tirico, Mort, Kornheiser, Young, whoo, getting tired here, Emmitt, Keyshawn, umm who am I forgetting, who are they using for pissed off old guy this year? Oh yeah Ditka, Tom Jackson, Stu Scott (Tarheel), …

Note to Chris Quinn: Don’t ever, ever, EVER bring that weak garbage into the paint against Gerald Wallace. Because if you do it will inevitably be volleyball spiked into the tenth row and causing you great amounts of despair and humiliation.
Chris, Consider the preceding information a useful piece of advice that you can take with you and cherish for the remainder of your NBA career
A few things that stood out to me in tonight’s game:
The ball movement. Hopefully this is a sign that the players are getting a …

A ton of personnel matters to report. First, no Shaquille O’Neal in the lineup for the Heat, because he was attending to family issues. This had to be music to Primoz Brezec’s ears, because last game Shaq manhandled Primoz the way Bob Barker used to handle that skinny microphone on The Price is Right. While I’m thinking about it, has anyone ever noticed that O’Neal looks exactly like a black “Stone Cold” Steve Austin? Perhaps I’m the only one who thinks so, as was the case in the late 80s …

The Bobcats traveled to Miami on Sunday night to take on the Heat. The big news was that Dwyane Wade, the game’s most exciting foul shooter, returned to the lineup! My initial reaction was: Hmm, playing an expansion team of nobodies, nursing a bum shoulder…it’s quite possible we could see a new free throw record tonight. But before I take too many shots at Miami, they deserve some serious credit, as ESPN’s John Hollinger had them lottery-bound, and that was before Wade was injured, leading me to wonder if Hollinger …

The Bobcats traveled south on Monday to take on the Heat, easily Miami’s most impressive group of performers since the Sound Machine. Miami was down a couple of regulars, as Jason Williams was out with an injury, while future Hall-of-Famer Gary Payton (suspension) was replaced in the starting lineup by future legal drinker Chris Quinn—bleach his hair and roll some cigarettes up in his sleeve and this baby-faced youngster could pass for an Outsider. It didn’t really matter, though, because Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O’Neal commanded the team to an …
