Wednesday Morning Bobcats Linkage

Nazr Mohammed is a producer… Wow, who knew?
“Fat Bitch!” is being produced by NBA champion, Charlotte Bobcats Center, and Chicago native Nazr Mohammed, who Watson has known since elementary school, when they lived next door in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood (blocks from President Obama’s house). Autographed sports memorabilia from Mohammed (to be announced later; likely to include apparel and Bulls/Bobcats tickets) will be raffled off at each of the five “Fat Bitch!” shows to benefit organizations dealing with young people and self-esteem. Detailed bios are below.

Introducing the Sacramento Kings fans to Sean May

Congratulations Sacramento Kings fans you have just acquired Charlotte Bobcats power forward Sean May.
Kings fans have one of the strongest NBA fan bases on the web ( just witness the awesomeness of Sactown Royalty, Cowbell Kingdom or KingFans.com ) so we felt that it would be the neighborly thing for us to do to pass along some of Sean May’s legacy (from a BobcatsPlanet perspective of course)
OK Kings fans, use these items responsibly:

Amour217’s Photoshop of the Week

With Spring on the way out and the sizzle of Summer on its way in, love is in the air for one of our Bobcats…
Yes, that’s right…you heard it here first, Mr. Sean May has found love in the Queen City!  Just look at this photo taken at an Uptown nightclub this weekend:

My, my…what a……handsome couple.

Future Bobcat? Dejuan Blair.

I know what you’re thinking… Why draft another power forward with weight problems.  While we’re at it, lets make him undersized with a history of knee problems. Sounds like a great investment for our number 12 pick right? Ordinarily I wouldn’t touch that resume with a 10 foot pole, BUT take a look at this rebound versus potential top 3 pick Hasheem Thabeet…

It’s been a while (let’s make that never) since I’ve seen one of the Bobcats almost rip a players arm out of the socket going for a rebound. …

Wednesday Linkage - 5/11

In my thirst for knowledge and hope for things to be set-up perfectly for next season, I do a google news search on the Bobcats every so often.  Not a whole heck of a lot going on but it’s not all shut down at 333 East Trade.
For some reason, the new Lingerie Football team in Philadelphia/New Jersey comes up in my search.  While it’s quite interesting and probably newsworthy, it’s not really related to the Bobcats directly.  Best headline: Chicks Passing Balls in Their Skivvies

Adam Morrison, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Sean May »

[4 Feb 2009 | No Comment | ]

Okay, so we’ve all been around the block a few times now about Sean May and Adam Morrison and their knee injuries, rehab, and of late their game play (or lack thereof).  So, I got to thinking…  Certainly these two are not the first players to undergo major knee surgery, so lets explore some other players and how things went for them…
First we’ll explore the ACL tear side of things.  Basically an ACL tear involves tearing one of the smallest, but most important, ligaments in the knee.  The ACL …

In this morning’s Charlotte Observer, it was confirmed by Sean May himself that he will not see a minute of game action until he gets his weight down to svelte 260 pounds.
Until Sean May weighs 260 pounds, he’s not playing basketball for the Charlotte Bobcats.
It’s that simple and that non-negotiable. May told the Observer on Friday those were the orders he heard recently from Bobcats managing partner Michael Jordan and coach Larry Brown.

Since we here at Bobcats Planet have always been so full of support …

Brevin Knight, Melvin Ely, Trades »

[20 Jan 2006 | No Comment | ]

With the February 23rd trade deadline looming, I am hopeful that Bernie Bickerstaff will bite the bullet and make a move. The biggest chips that he has to play are starting point guard Brevin Knight and power forward Melvin Ely.
Brevin Knight has been the subject of trade rumors all season, most recently with the Memphis Grizzlies. Knight would be of interest to many playoff caliber teams because he could be a solid backup to an established point guard or because of his improved jumper and solid ball handling he could …
