If you had any question how well liked young Stephen Curry is in the Queen City, then that was certainly answered tonight. Returning home to Charlotte as a Golden State Warrior, the rookie received a standing ovation in player introductions and was cheered nearly every time he touched the ball. However, Gerald Wallace, DJ Augustin, and Boris Diaw helped the Charlotte Bobcats ruin his trip home, winning 101-90.

I’m not blogging as much as I’d like and for that I appologize to you, loyal reader. I started one last weekend but I was interrupted about 30-40 times by my Mother, Father and Niece asking “What are you doing?” Or rather, when it’s my niece: ”UN-kle! AN-DRAW! You come play with my dooooollll-houssssseee?” She’s 18 and we’re so proud she learned to talk finally (jokes, she’s 3 and the cutest stinkin kid you’ve ever seen).
I have been keeping up with all the goings-on with the Bobcats. I’m very confused …

There are many good ways to spend a Saturday evening. Unfortunately for us Bobcats fans, none of those ways involved anything that happened in last night’s Bobcats game.
For starters, we had Emeka Okafor come back to town. Emeka is a nice guy, and to be honest with you he was one of my favorite players during his time as a Bobcat. With that being said, it was more than a little bit painful watching him put up 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocked shots and 1 steal while playing solid …

That’s right. All the hate, and I mean allllll of it, while warranted, is somewhat moot. The Bobcats need Tyson Chandler back in the line up if they want to be successful and sustain some level of established improvement. It’s not that he brings so much himself, it’s what he allows the defense to do. I made fun of the “article” I found via some website, via his website, which was a rehash of an article Rick Bonnell wrote. And I will give Rick credit here, as much as I …

Sup everybody, BETCATS checking back in. If you are reading this, i would like to wish you a happy holiday season. At the time i wrote my last piece for the site, the Bobcats were struggling. A lot of us were panicking and we were all starting to think maybe the playoffs are out of reach. The faith in our team to get the job done was questionable. We then went on a little win streak, and everyone was satisfied temporarily. But that was then.
Fast forward to today, the Bobcats are …

I WANT THE TRUTH! You can’t handle the truth.
Thanks Jack. BigCat here, I was just mulling all this “Gerald Wallace calls out Tyson Chandler and Boris Diaw, Tyson Chandler plays well and tells Gerald where to stick it” stuff. I’m not impressed. All I want to know is, who is showing up every night? Who is going to make the plays to put this team ahead or bring this team up from behind and steal a victory. Neither has happened of late. One win against 6 losses in the last…..umm, …

This Bobcat team is hard to figure out. We beat Lebron James and the Cavs, then lose to the 0-18 Nets, then a game or two later we beat high powered Denver Nuggets.. It’s impossible to figure this team out, but they’ve won 6 out of their last 8 and have moved to 8-3 at home. I’ll take it.
Once again Gerald Wallace was ridiculous in this game with 25 points and 16 rebounds, He is well on his way way to being the smallest rebounding champ since Dennis Rodman. Stephen …

Hey guys, TooCool here with my first blog post. Hope you all enjoy it, and that I don’t bore you to death.
Defence to the Bobcats and our beloved coaching staff can be summed up in a single quote. “Larry Brown teaches, preaches, and even craps defence” – Along13. Defence is what makes the world go round, for Larry Brown anyway. Defence doesn’t revolve around the players. It revolves around Larry Brown’s head. They say that Defence wins championships. That statement is completely true. Without being able to get stops on …

An actual game against another team! Holy crap! It doesn’t mean a whole lot but it’s a competition and it’s leading to something…like a run at the Playoffs. That’s the expectation this year. We’re done with this basement dwelling, yeah they have some nice players, doesn’t Jordan have something to do with them?
NO! We are the Charlotte BOBCATS! Speaking of Jordan, the two most dominant figures since his retirement (and a lot of time during his playing days) will be on the court tonight in the person of Mr. Lebron …

Nazr Mohammed is a producer… Wow, who knew?
“Fat Bitch!” is being produced by NBA champion, Charlotte Bobcats Center, and Chicago native Nazr Mohammed, who Watson has known since elementary school, when they lived next door in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood (blocks from President Obama’s house). Autographed sports memorabilia from Mohammed (to be announced later; likely to include apparel and Bulls/Bobcats tickets) will be raffled off at each of the five “Fat Bitch!” shows to benefit organizations dealing with young people and self-esteem. Detailed bios are below.

His toe feels good, as it did all last season in rebuttal to the massive red flag in Oklahoma, his ankle is strong again and, by the way, his heart is fine too. Being traded was not a great shock to the system, after all. Tyson Chandler had been sort-of dealt once and knew he would be for-sure dealt soon enough, the way his New Orleans Hornets teammates knew. It’s just the details that were finalized July 28: Chandler to the Bobcats for Emeka Okafor.

I love the movie Bull Durham. Kevin Costner calls Tim Robbins “meat” the whole time. You know what he means but “Nuke” doesn’t. My old roommate and I started calling Chuck James from the Braves “Meat” a couple years ago. Every time he’d step out there it was like, “How long before somebody just rocks him and he’s got that holy-crap-did-that-just-happen-AGAIN looks on his face?” You just knew the guy was set up to lose or something but you knew he had a few flashes or hopefully wouldn’t be out …

Rick Bonnell reports here that it is a done deal and will become official Tuesday morning.
There are 3 people who have averaged a double-double in each of the last 5 seasons:
Tim Duncan
Dwight Howard
Emeka Okafor
That’s the list… Chandler has done it once in his entire career.
In the forums, fans are less than happy with this deal because it has this the stench of Bob Johnson dumping salary.
Me… Well, I’m completely baffled how this deal will make us a better team and get us closer to making the playoffs next season.
If you …
