This game appeared to be more about the Celtics indifferent play heading into the playoffs than a stunning upset by the Bobcats. But to give due credit, the ‘Cats had as many players (four) scoring in double figures as the Celtics. Charlotte notched their third win against nine losses so far in March. That makes the game more about the lack of intensity from a Celtics team assured a playoff spot.
The Bobcats and Celtics equaled each other for rebounds, 37-37, and turn overs, 17-17. Neither team had much offense as both teams shot in the low forty percent range. The Bobcats were able to differentiate themselves with very solid team free throw shooting, 88% versus 76.9%. The win allowed the ‘Cats to gain a game on the Pacers, who lost to the Kings, but they still remain two games behind Indiana for the eighth Eastern Conference playoff spot.
The Good: DJ White continues to shine off the bench with 17 points and six rebounds in 24 and a half minutes.
The Bad: Three point shooting, 9.1%, and turn overs, 17.
The Ugly: Boris Diaw still starting for the Bobcats.
