WWJD – Who Would Jordan Draft?

Who Would Jordan Draft?  Thats the question that we’re here to answer today. First of all, lets rule out a few people:

Tyrus Thomas – Adding him to the Bobcats roster makes so little sense that drafting him would be a mistake of Kwame-esque proportions. Despite all of the hype over his athleticism, and his supposed wing skills when you get down to the facts, hes basically a player with power forward skills but small forward size. At small forward on the Bobcats, he’d only get table scraps for minutes playing behind Gerald Wallace.

Andrea Bargnani – As a player MJ seemed to get an added level of glee out of torturing some of the European imports. The stories of his abuse of Toni Kukoc in practices are legendary, I don’t see him  going that route.

Lamarcus Aldridge – Hes going to be off the board. Don’t believe the Bargnani smokescreen that they are laying out. They are going to draft Aldridge #1 to make their franchise player (Chris Bosh) happy.

Brandon Roy – A player whos good at everything but not superior at anything. Some comparisons of to Dwyane Wade that have been made are utterly ridiculous in my opinion. He doesn’t come close to Wade’s athleticism, hes closer to a poor man’s version of Jordan’s old running buddy Ron Harper… All the way down to the factory repaired knees. If the Bobcats were sitting at #5, this would be the pick, but #3 is just too high.

Adam Morrison – MJ has to like Morrisons offense, guts, confidence, willingness to take the big shot and work ethic. The Bobcats need a scorer in the worst way and in their offense the Small Forward and Shooting Guard are interchangeable for the most part. So in theory you could slide him into the starting shooting guard spot… Theres just that small problem of DEFENSE. Adam Morrison guarding some of the worlds greatest guards and small forwards in the NBA is not going to be a pretty sight.

Rudy Gay – There are many questions about his motivation, but there are no questions about his overall skills. He can play and guard multiple positions, He is a defensive maniac and an athletic freak. In fact hes been compared to another one of Jordan’s running buddies (Scottie Pippen).

Rudy Gay is your pick because MJ will see a lot of Pippen in Rudy and theres no way that hes going to be able to pass that up.
